When I started photography my goal was to be a documentarian. With a fleeting memory I needed something to ground my mind in the present moment again. Before the music or portraits I would spend hours walking around downtown shooting photos. That is the foundation that has taught me to look for light, color, texture and composition. Nowadays when I am having anxiety or just need some peace photo walks are still one my favorite things to do. My own personal meditation. Spending time with yourself is important. twin.
